birds in the garden

I posted this last year and reposted today as I noticed many birds foraging for food after the dry spell in Canberra. During Autumn and winter, many birds visit the garden looking for food. One bird which is becoming more common in Canberra is the Satin bowerbird (seen here on a birdbath). Often there will be more than one as the young seem to stay around for a few years.
